Job Description

Summary

The General Manager position is responsible for overseeing the overall performance of operations at the Newark location, reporting to the Senior Director. This leadership role involves managing a team focused on efficiency, cost reductions, and general management of processing duties, while fostering a culture of growth and learning.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of over 500 employees, ensuring alignment with safety, team, and results goals.
  • Drive recruiting, training, and development of managers and employees.
  • Ensure effective communication and alignment to goals and key initiatives across processing areas.
  • Participate as a key stakeholder in building-level process, capital, or improvement projects.
  • Partner with corporate teams to make recommendations on resource allocation and priorities.
  • Achieve defined operational metrics and expense objectives.
  • Promote LEAN philosophy for continuous improvement in processes and procedures.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of Supply Chain leadership experience in a Fulfillment or similar environment.
  • Graduate-level degree in a related discipline is a plus.
  • Proven track record of leading a large Fulfillment/eComm site.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in implementing and leading Lean initiatives.
  • Ability to develop reliable, cost-effective systems and procedures.
  • Willingness to relocate for future growth opportunities.
  • Bilingual Spanish language skills preferred.
