Job Description

Summary

The General Manager - Supply Chain is responsible for overseeing the overall performance of operations at the Upper Marlboro location, reporting to the Senior Director. This leadership role involves managing a team focused on operational efficiency, cost reduction, and capital projects, while fostering a culture of growth and learning within the team.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of over 500 employees, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and initiatives.
  • Support managers across all shifts in achieving customer service goals through safety, teamwork, and results.
  • Drive recruiting, training, and development of managers and employees, partnering with key support functions.
  • Facilitate effective communication across processing areas to ensure alignment with goals and initiatives.
  • Participate as a key stakeholder in building-level process and improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with Seattle/Corporate teams on resource allocation and competing priorities.
  • Achieve defined operational metrics and expense objectives.
  • Promote LEAN philosophy across production areas for continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of Supply Chain leadership experience in a Fulfillment or similar environment.
  • Graduate-level degree in a related discipline is a plus.
  • Proven track record of leading a large Fulfillment/eComm site with over 500 employees.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to influence and collaborate.
  • Experience in implementing and leading Lean initiatives.
  • Data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Ability to build effective teams and lead through influence and collaboration.
  • Willingness to relocate for future growth opportunities.
