Summary
Supports asset protection, safety, and inventory control in a retail environment. Helps detect and deter theft, maintain a safe environment, and promote compliance with company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the sales floor and security systems, including CCTV, to identify and deter theft.
- Promote compliance with safety, theft prevention, and inventory control procedures.
- Conduct audits, complete incident and investigation reports, and support investigations as directed.
- Monitor facility access and assist with inventory planning, execution, and reconciliation.
- Partner with store management and associates on shrink action plans, safety, and awareness initiatives.
- Maintain relationships with local law enforcement and mall security, and represent the company in court proceedings related to apprehensions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Retail experience preferred; several years of experience is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and basic computer skills, including Microsoft Windows and Excel.
- Working knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems preferred.
- Ability to preserve confidential information, make sound decisions under time pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work day or evening hours, including weekends and holidays, stand and walk for 6-8 hours per shift, and lift or move objects weighing 20 pounds or more as needed.
- Must satisfy applicable licensing requirements and complete pre-hire paperwork, including a background check.
