Job Description

Summary

The Greeter/Host at the Boston boutique provides a warm welcome to clients, manages the entrance, and supports the sales team to ensure an exceptional client experience. Stationed at the boutique entrance, the role directs visitors, manages appointment flow, and assists with client needs while coordinating with selling, operations, and asset protection. This position helps maintain a hospitable environment and minimizes wait times for clients.

Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet every visitor entering and leaving the boutique and determine the nature of their visit
  • Direct clients to appropriate merchandise or team members and communicate arrivals to selling, operations, and asset protection
  • Maintain and update the daily appointment calendar, indicating arrivals, no-shows, reschedules, and cancellations
  • Support phone appointment requests, enter schedules, assign requests, and resolve appointment conflicts
  • Manage the outdoor queue when the boutique is at capacity and proactively update waiting clients
  • Provide hospitality services such as umbrella storage, beverage service, and escorting clients to the door or car with purchases
  • Model the company vision of extraordinary service and handle difficult situations with composure
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a gracious, warm approach
  • Customer service or retail experience in a service-oriented environment
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule according to business needs
  • High attention to detail and ability to keep personal workspace organized
  • Basic knowledge of the neighborhood, store services, and ability to handle customer inquiries
  • Proactive, calm, professional demeanor with high-touch service standards
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); multilingual skills are a plus
  • Enthusiasm, self-confidence, and motivation
