Summary
The Group Director, Top Client Development leads client engagement strategy and execution across CHANEL boutiques and key markets in the Northeast. This role partners with boutique teams and regional leadership to strengthen relationships with top clients and deliver exceptional, personalized luxury experiences. The position is based in New York and requires frequent travel to boutiques and key markets.
Responsibilities
- Assess opportunities and risks related to top-client activity and develop market-specific strategies.
- Partner with boutique teams and Client Development Managers to build client relationships and support boutique needs.
- Align local client development initiatives with US market strategy and provide insights to senior leadership.
- Lead cross-market execution of client events, experiences, and engagement strategies.
- Foster collaboration and continuous improvement across boutique, regional, and home office teams.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of progressive experience in luxury retail, client development, or a related strategic leadership role.
- Established knowledge of the Northeast luxury landscape and relationships across markets including New York, Boston, Chicago, and Washington, DC.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, influence cross-functionally, and manage high-impact projects.
- Advanced analytical skills, including Excel and PowerPoint, and experience translating KPIs into strategic recommendations.
- Experience with department store environments and a bachelor's degree are required; an advanced degree is a plus.
- Availability for some evening and weekend events, with frequent travel of up to 50%.
