Job Description

Summary

The Head of Merchandising leads fashion merchandising strategy across Chanel’s Canadian boutique network. This role translates global brand direction into locally relevant assortments and drives commercial performance while protecting the client experience and brand equity.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute product and merchandising strategies tailored to local markets and boutiques.
  • Manage open-to-buy budgets, sales forecasting, stock KPIs, and product performance reporting.
  • Collaborate with boutique leaders and cross-functional teams on product allocation, launches, and initiatives.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing merchandising team.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor positioning, and share insights with regional partners.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of merchandising or buying experience in luxury fashion retail.
  • Significant experience participating in global buying sessions and working with international headquarters and cross-cultural teams.
  • Extensive experience across merchandising activities, with strong product and brand knowledge.
  • Collaborative, adaptable leadership skills and a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
