Job Description

Summary

Lead and manage the tailoring and alterations team for luxury menswear, ensuring high quality, productivity, and timely completion of alterations. Provide expert alterations and tailoring for jackets, pants, and shirts while maintaining industrial sewing equipment. Work individually and collaboratively to meet and exceed store goals and deliver exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of tailors and alteration specialists to meet deadlines and quality standards
  • Perform complex alterations and tailoring on luxury menswear including jackets, pants, and shirts
  • Ensure productivity targets are met and contribute to achieving store business goals
  • Maintain and operate a variety of industrial sewing machines and pressers
  • Provide exceptional customer support to drive satisfaction and loyalty
  • Train and coach team members to improve skills and performance
  • Coordinate workflow to manage peak periods and team schedules
  • Support store initiatives and collaborate with management to enhance service offerings

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years experience leading a team of tailors or alterationists
  • 2-3 years or more experience using and maintaining industrial sewing machines and pressers
  • Proven expertise in altering and tailoring luxury menswear garments
  • Strong focus on quality, productivity, and meeting deadlines
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Goal oriented with a commitment to achieving store success
