Summary
Senior HR generalist role supporting Fashion and Fragrance and Beauty retail teams across Western Canada, partnering with Boutique Directors to manage employee experience, talent acquisition, onboarding and learning and development. The role requires travel across Canada and involves coaching managers, implementing HR initiatives and supporting people processes and engagement activities.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Fashion and F&B teams to support retail people initiatives and boutique operations.
- Provide coaching to managers and assist in performance management and disciplinary processes.
- Lead talent attraction, manage offer negotiations and prepare employment contracts.
- Build and deliver structured onboarding plans and conduct exit interviews.
- Collaborate on recruitment strategy and maintain recruitment metrics and reporting.
- Develop learning road maps and partner on training needs for soft skills and technical competencies.
- Support implementation of employee engagement actions and participate in committees such as Health and Safety and Diversity and Inclusion.
- Enter new hire and job changes in Workday and maintain HRIS records.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience as an HR Business Partner or similar HR role.
- Advanced knowledge of the people market in Western Canada and retail context.
- Bilingual English and Mandarin, spoken and written.
- Experience in recruitment and talent acquisition and use of LinkedIn Recruiter.
- Working knowledge of an HRIS, ideally Workday.
- Proven coaching skills and ability to influence without direct control.
- Excellent organisation, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple searches.
- Resilient, collaborative approach and strong relationship building skills.
