Job Description

Summary

Responsible for supporting North America import activities with technical expertise in import and logistics management, ensuring compliance and timely clearance of inbound shipments. The role involves coordinating with customs brokers, maintaining documentation and product data, and supporting daily inbound operations in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily inbound import operations for the organization
  • Coordinate with customs brokers to secure releases from US Customs and partner government agencies
  • Verify shipment documentation for valuation, classification, country of origin and PGA requirements
  • Update and maintain product information in multiple databases
  • Perform special tasks related to import operations as assigned
  • Use SAP and other systems to manage import processes where applicable
  • Interact with ACE Portal and other customs systems as needed

Requirements

  • 2+ years of logistics experience
  • 1+ years of functional import export experience with controls and documentation
  • Familiarity with the USHTS and assignment of HTS
  • Working knowledge of US Customs ACE Portal and Partner Government Agencies a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint and Access
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • High school diploma required some college preferred
