In-Home Furniture Repair Technician

Summary

Repair furniture and accessories in customers' homes and company locations to meet quality standards while delivering excellent customer service within an assigned territory. Role is client-facing and requires strong communication, problem solving, and adaptability to changing job requirements.

Responsibilities

• Repair furniture to first quality standards in customers' homes, galleries and Home Delivery Centers
• Perform touch up repairs on wood, leather and fabric and repair coatings and finishes on metal, stone, marble and concrete
• Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area
• Provide quality assurance and quality control feedback
• Promote and maintain a safe working environment
• Exhibit flexibility and adaptability to changing job requirements
• Visit clients within assigned geographic territory to complete repairs

Requirements

• Sense of teamwork, ownership, urgency and attention to detail
• Knowledge of framing and furniture construction methods
• Outstanding communication and problem solving skills for first class customer service
• Ability to work in a fast paced challenging environment
• Ability to visit clients in assigned territory and perform in-home work
• Must pass background check, drug screen and motor vehicle record check
• Ability to lift and mobilize items of at least 75 lbs
