Job Description

Summary

As an In-Home Furniture Repair Technician you will perform repairs on furniture and accessories in customers' homes and company galleries and home delivery centers to ensure items meet first-quality standards. This client-facing role requires travel within an assigned geographic territory and strong communication skills to deliver first-class customer service and build relationships. The position involves providing quality assurance feedback, maintaining safe work practices, and adapting to changing job requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Repair furniture to first-quality standards in customers' homes, company galleries, and home delivery centers
  • Provide quality assurance and quality control feedback to improve product standards
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area and promote a safe working environment
  • Exhibit flexibility and adaptability to changing job requirements and schedules
  • Deliver excellent customer service through clear communication and relationship building

Requirements

  • Ability to perform touch-up repairs on wood, leather, and fabric and work with coatings and finishes on metal, stone, marble, and concrete
  • Knowledge of framing and furniture construction methods and strong attention to detail
  • Outstanding communication and problem-solving skills for customer-facing service
  • Ability to travel within an assigned geographic territory and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must pass a background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle record check; ability to lift and mobilize items of at least 75 lbs
