In-Store Tailor

Summary

In-Store Tailor responsible for measurement taking of Bespoke line and alterations and ameliorations of ready to wear garments. Works closely with the store team and atelier to ensure optimal fit and garment finish for clients. Uses industrial sewing machines and hand stitching techniques to perform mending and adjustments.

Responsibilities

• Accurately take body measurements for Bespoke and ready to wear garments
• Communicate measurements to the atelier and Bespoke ambassador in the standard way
• Advise clients and sales advisors on necessary alterations to achieve best fit
• Perform mending activities and alterations on ready to wear garments
• Use tailoring techniques to compensate for different body configurations and postures
• Take measurements for suits shirts and casualwear collections
• Assist store personnel to meet customer fitting needs and requests
• Operate industrial sewing machines and perform hand stitching tasks

Requirements

• Education in pattern making or related tailoring schools
• 3-5 years tailoring experience ideally in luxury menswear
• Fluent English; Spanish or Italian desirable
• Strong understanding of garment construction and fabric knowledge
• Advanced hand sewing techniques including buttonholes
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Customer focused attitude and team player mindset
• Self motivated with flexibility
