Summary
The Industrial Engineer 2, Supply Chain applies industrial engineering principles to optimize fulfillment and distribution operations, partnering with operations leadership to drive process improvements, automation, and capacity planning for small to medium scope projects.
Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze complex data to define current state and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Apply Lean Six Sigma and other continuous improvement methodologies to optimize processes
- Perform time and motion studies and use predetermined time systems to identify productivity gaps
- Lead Standard Work efforts with operations and continuous improvement teams
- Create AutoCAD layouts for space planning and process design
- Analyze methods for optimal operations and outline alternatives for processes and equipment
- Work with technical documentation to assess designs with supervisor guidance
- Collaborate with product management and business partners to deliver data driven solutions
- Utilize project management practices to manage medium complexity projects
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering experience
- Prior experience in supply chain distribution or fulfillment environments preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering
- Experience with AutoCAD, simulation, and SQL queries highly desired
- Strong knowledge of industrial engineering discipline, processes, and tools
- Experience conducting time and motion studies and using predetermined time systems
- Ability to communicate clearly with senior leadership
