Summary
As an Industrial Engineer at a luxury goods manufacturing plant you will develop and implement process strategies, optimize production workflows, and drive continuous improvement using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance efficiency and maintain high quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead workstation and assembly cell design and optimization for ergonomic and efficient setups
- Conduct time studies and head count rationalization to improve labor allocation
- Design material flow and production layouts tailored to luxury materials
- Use Value Stream Mapping to identify and eliminate process inefficiencies
- Analyze lead time, throughput, and bottlenecks and implement improvements
- Develop and implement Lean Management strategies and train employees on Lean tools
- Manage continuous improvement projects from planning through completion
- Collaborate with equipment vendors to define equipment requirements and specifications
- Prepare process and project reports, analyze trends, and recommend actions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive manufacturing experience
- Proven experience implementing Lean methodologies and process improvement programs
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data driven decision making
- Minimum 3 years' experience with AutoCAD for layout updates
- Experience collaborating with cross functional teams including production and quality
- Familiarity with value stream mapping, time and motion study, and KPI monitoring
- Sigma Green Belt certification and/or automation experience considered an asset
