Job Description

Summary

As an Industrial Engineer in the Supply Chain at Nordstrom, you will apply industrial engineering principles to enhance processes, systems, and equipment within our fulfillment and distribution centers. You will collaborate with Supply Chain Operations leadership to provide innovative solutions for process improvement and automation.

Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze data to drive continuous improvement, capacity analysis, and change initiatives.
  • Utilize Lean Six Sigma methodologies to optimize supply chain operations for small to medium scope projects.
  • Conduct time and motion studies and develop insights to improve productivity.
  • Lead Standard Work efforts in collaboration with operations and continuous improvement teams.
  • Create and deliver AutoCAD layouts for space planning and process design.
  • Analyze methods for optimal operations and outline alternatives for processes, equipment, and system design.
  • Work with technical documentation to assess designs and issues with guidance from a supervisor.
  • Collaborate with operations, product management, and other business partners to deliver data-driven solutions.
  • Manage medium complexity projects using project management methodologies.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, simulation, and SQL query is highly desired.
  • Strong understanding of Industrial Engineering discipline, processes, and tools.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with senior leadership.
