Responsibilities- Participate in the design of mechanical systems required for projects, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, compressed air, and cooling water systems.
- Draft technical specifications and reports necessary for project execution.
- Review manufacturer/supplier documents and provide recommendations (drawings, calculation notes, manufacturing procedures, purchase specifications, etc.).
- Provide technical assistance during construction, manufacturing, and assembly, and participate in equipment testing.
- Manage project execution and perform related calculations.
- Define the needs of various sites in Canada (production and offices).
- Estimate project costs and evaluate supplier and contractor bids.
- Conduct site visits to ensure project alignment.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3 to 5 years of experience in mechanical design.
- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
- Minimal travel (10%) to coordinate with local resources, professionals, and contractors and validate new installations.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC equipment control systems.
- Experience in designing HVAC and plumbing supports is an asset.
- Proficiency in 3D software (e.g., AutoCAD).
