Job Description

Summary

As an Ingénieur Mécanique at EssilorLuxottica Canada, you will play a key role in our Engineering Project division, leading industrial sector projects across various facilities in Canada. Based in Montreal, you will occasionally visit different sites to ensure project success.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in the design of mechanical systems required for projects, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, compressed air, and cooling water systems.
  • Draft technical specifications and reports necessary for project execution.
  • Review manufacturer/supplier documents and provide recommendations (drawings, calculation notes, manufacturing procedures, purchase specifications, etc.).
  • Provide technical assistance during construction, manufacturing, and assembly, and participate in equipment testing.
  • Manage project execution and perform related calculations.
  • Define the needs of various sites in Canada (production and offices).
  • Estimate project costs and evaluate supplier and contractor bids.
  • Conduct site visits to ensure project alignment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3 to 5 years of experience in mechanical design.
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
  • Minimal travel (10%) to coordinate with local resources, professionals, and contractors and validate new installations.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC equipment control systems.
  • Experience in designing HVAC and plumbing supports is an asset.
  • Proficiency in 3D software (e.g., AutoCAD).
