Summary
The Supply Chain Asset Protection Agent supports loss prevention safety and security initiatives to safeguard company assets including property equipment merchandise and employees. The role involves monitoring entry points conducting security screenings performing investigations and collaborating with managers and law enforcement as needed.
Responsibilities
- Greet and interact with building personnel and respond to incidents related to loss prevention safety and security
- Monitor identification badges for entry and exit for employees visitors vendors and contractors
- Conduct electronic and hand held metal detector screenings and visual searches of carry in items
- Perform daily interior and exterior warehouse walks and audit physical security infrastructure
- Review camera footage and respond to building alarms taking appropriate action
- Initiate and conduct investigations of shrinkage and follow through with resolutions with investigators and managers
- Maintain site required documentation such as accident reports inspection reports and training logs
- Support opening and closing the building and perform special projects as directed
- Escalate sensitive situations and collaborate with loss prevention staff or local law enforcement as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma GED or equivalent
- 2+ years experience in a customer facing service position ideally in loss prevention security or risk management
- Supply chain facility experience preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to interact with all levels
- Calm demeanor and ability to respond and resolve safety and security issues
- Proven accountability initiative and ownership in prior roles
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in security and personnel matters
- Willingness to work weekends overnight or varied shifts as necessary
