Job Description

Summary

As an Interior Design Associate at Ralph Lauren in New York, you will assist in the selection, coordination, purchasing, and installation of decorative elements for the Ralph Lauren Architecture and Design Studio. You will work closely with the Interior Design Manager and architects to ensure the successful execution of design projects.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with sourcing and selecting decorative items, including vintage pieces.
  • Visit showrooms and assist with sample pulls for projects.
  • Monitor progress on furniture fabrication and antique refurbishment by visiting vendors.
  • Track decorative items from purchase through delivery.
  • Create inspiration boards to illustrate design concepts.
  • Collaborate with the Interior Design Manager and architects on store layouts.
  • Archive decorative materials and maintain the sample library.
  • Assist with decorative installations for new stores and renovations.
  • Maintain interior design budgets for projects.
Requirements
  • Preferred experience in interior design or related field, and/or store development in the retail industry or high-end residential.
  • Highly organized and proactive, capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to read and understand architectural/construction drawings and sketch/diagram space plans and fixture layouts.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
  • AutoCAD and/or SketchUp proficiency is a plus.
  • Ability to source and select decorative items.
  • Budget tracking and project management skills.
