Job Description

Summary

Ten-week paid internship supporting the Architecture and Design Studio in coordination and purchasing of store decorative elements. The role provides hands-on learning through sourcing, showroom and vendor visits, project tracking, and collaboration with designers and architects in a hybrid corporate environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with sourcing and selecting decorative items for store projects
  • Visit showrooms and vendors to obtain samples and monitor furniture fabrication or refurbishment
  • Track decorative items from purchase through delivery and maintain project records and specs
  • Support inspiration boards and assist with design concept illustrations
  • Partner with architects and Interior Design Manager on store layouts and installations
  • Maintain project interior design budgets and assist with budget tracking
  • Participate in design and construction meetings to learn the design process

Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in interior design or related field and entering final year of undergraduate studies
  • Authorized to work in the United States and able to reside within commutable distance to NY NJ or NC offices
  • Highly organized, proactive, and able to multi-task with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office; AutoCAD or SketchUp a plus
  • Ability to read architectural drawings and sketch space plans and fixture layouts
  • Budget tracking and project management skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team
