Summary
Provide interior design services to walk in and in home clients at the Oak Brook gallery. This role is ideal for seasoned designers with leadership qualities and extensive residential design experience who can build a thriving design business within the gallery. Responsibilities include creating original designs, managing multiple projects, and overseeing the client experience from initial contact through delivery.
Responsibilities
- Independently create original residential interior designs using the RH design point of view.
- Determine design objectives considering architecture, environment, and client lifestyle.
- Prepare floor plans, sketches, and visual presentations to communicate design solutions.
- Meet with clients in gallery and in home and successfully oversee all phases of the client experience from initial contact through delivery.
- Lead multiple design projects, support daily client interactions, and help achieve gallery fiscal goals through design consulting.
Requirements
- 5+ years of design experience within a design firm or high end furniture and luxury retail preferred.
- Art, Architecture, Interior Design or similar degree preferred and professional portfolio required.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and other space planning and rendering programs with strong graphic and digital presentation skills.
- Hands on interior installation experience, project management experience, and leadership or business experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Mac OS, Microsoft Office and Google Applications.
- Ability to travel locally or out of state and licensed to drive preferred; ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs and perform prolonged standing and other physical tasks.
