Internal Control Intern

Summary

Support the execution and monitoring of internal control processes at an operational level. Gain hands-on experience with control testing, reconciliations, risk assessments, and fraud prevention to support reliable financial reporting and compliance. Develop foundational knowledge in ERP systems, data analysis, and process optimization while working alongside operational teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing, testing, and refining internal control procedures across financial and operational domains.
• Support regular control testing, document results, and help secure month-end and year-end reconciliations.
• Support targeted risk assessments and contribute to mitigation of vulnerabilities in processes and systems.
• Aid fraud prevention and detection efforts and test controls to mitigate fraud risk.
• Contribute to reporting, process optimization, and ERP optimization initiatives.
• Collaborate with operational teams to embed controls and deliver clear, actionable reports on control effectiveness.

Requirements

• Interest in internal control, finance, accounting, or a related field and a desire to learn.
• Developing knowledge of ERP systems and data analysis.
• Strong attention to detail, integrity, and precision in work.
• Ability to collaborate across functions and communicate findings clearly.
