SummaryRH is seeking an International Transportation Planner to support the execution and optimization of international courier and air freight operations. This role is instrumental in ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality global shipments in alignment with RH’s gallery openings, product launches, and other key initiatives.
Responsibilities- Oversee the full lifecycle of international courier and air freight shipments, including label creation, carrier booking, approval workflows and real-time tracking.
- Lead transportation service provider relationships, including DHL, FedEx, UPS and international air freight forwarders.
- Monitor and report on key transportation KPIs to drive performance and accountability, including cost, service level, transit time and quality.
- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline workflows, control costs and improve service across international transportation operations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Planning, Product Development, Customer Delight, and Distribution Centers to ensure seamless execution.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in global parcel and air freight logistics, supporting gallery openings and other high-visibility initiatives.
- Resolve shipment exceptions through data analysis and proactive vendor engagement, while contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by challenging the status quo and identifying ways to enhance transportation operations.
Requirements- 3 years of experience in a transportation, logistics, or supply chain role with exposure to international shipping.
- Working knowledge of global parcel operations, air freight logistics and import customs procedures.
- Familiarity with carrier systems (DHL, FedEx, UPS), freight forwarders, and transportation visibility platforms such as Infor Nexus.
- Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort with data tools such as Power BI.
- High attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities, and a strong sense of ownership.
- Experience in a high-growth, fast-paced environment preferred.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed to support gallery openings and strategic initiatives.
