Job Description

Summary

The Manufacturing Casting Intern will support the Manufacturing Casting team at the Cumberland RI facility by applying engineering and analysis techniques to improve processes, collect and analyze production data, and maintain documentation. The role includes presenting findings to management at the end of the internship and working collaboratively across functions to implement solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Define manufacturing casting issues and collect relevant data
  • Analyze facts and implement solutions with review as needed
  • Create, update, and maintain work instructions and procedure manuals
  • Conduct productivity measures and time studies
  • Perform data collection and computational analysis
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to solve production problems
  • Present internship experience and findings to management

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Engineering Industrial and Systems Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Demonstrated research and data analysis ability
  • Outstanding communication organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross functional team and challenge processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel PowerPoint and Word
  • Ability to work on site at the Cumberland RI manufacturing facility
