Internship - Strategic Sourcing

Summary

The Strategic Sourcing Intern will support the Strategic Sourcing team at the Cumberland manufacturing facility, gaining experience in supplier qualification, the RFQ process, pricing analysis, and subcontracting tracking. The role involves assisting with data collection, supplier portfolio maintenance, and drafting standard operating procedures to support sourcing initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Support obtaining Requests for Quotes from selected suppliers across multiple product categories
• Compile and present supplier bids in analytical comparison formats
• Assist in tracking subcontracting progress and sourcing metrics
• Help establish and write Standard Operating Procedures for sourcing processes
• Maintain and execute the supplier portfolio showing key performance aspects
• Gather and analyze information to support supplier evaluation
• Collaborate with internal teams to support manufacturing sourcing initiatives

Requirements

• Completed a minimum of two years of undergraduate study or currently pursuing an advanced degree
• Experience managing a project from beginning to end
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel PowerPoint and Word
• Strong research and information gathering skills
• Good interpersonal written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to write concise summaries and present information effectively
• Customer service orientation for internal and external interactions
