Summary
Entry level role supporting merchandise planning and inventory processes by assisting planners and planning managers with reporting, purchase order management, vendor communication, backorder analysis and transfer coordination to ensure efficient product delivery.
Responsibilities
- Assist planning managers with daily reports.
- Support planners with purchase order creation and maintenance including corrections and revisions.
- Maintain daily communication with vendors to confirm and track orders and communicate revisions.
- Enter and own data entry tasks in the mainframe system.
- Maintain and communicate weekly lists of accrued departmental backorders and analysis of backorder relief.
- Provide bi-weekly sku and collection priority recommendations to sourcing and operations.
- Prepare weekly transfer lists and follow up with allocations and operations to ensure transfers occur.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to align data with strategies and deadlines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Strong Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written, verbal and organizational skills.
- Detail oriented with ability to recognize misses and oversights.
- Ability to follow up and follow through.
- Team oriented attitude and quick learner.
