Job Description

Summary

The Inventory Analyst will support merchandise planning and inventory functions at the home office, assisting planners and planning managers with reporting, purchase order management, and cross-functional coordination to ensure timely delivery and inventory accuracy. This is an entry-level role focused on data entry, analysis, and communication across sourcing, operations, and allocation teams.

Responsibilities

  • Assist planning managers with daily reports and data analysis.
  • Support planners with purchase orders: keying orders, maintaining corrections and revisions.
  • Maintain daily communication with vendors to confirm and track purchase orders and revisions.
  • Enter and own data entry tasks in the mainframe system.
  • Maintain and communicate weekly lists of departmental backorders and analysis of backorder relief.
  • Provide bi-weekly sku/collection priority recommendations to sourcing and operations based on backorder reporting.
  • Prepare weekly transfer lists for allocations and operations and follow up to ensure transfers occur.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to ensure data aligns with strategies and deadlines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong Excel skills, including PivotTables and VLOOKUPs.
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and follow up reliably.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills.
  • Team-oriented attitude and quick learner.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to recognize misses and oversights.
