Summary
The Inventory Control Specialist manages store inventory operations including receiving, ticketing, shipping transfers and returns, and supporting cycle counts and bi-annual inventories to maintain accurate stock records and support the sales team in a luxury boutique.
Responsibilities
- Receive and process incoming merchandise and shipments on the day they arrive.
- Ticket merchandise and print necessary documentation for transfers and shipments.
- Generate packing and shipping transfer and return to vendor records accurately.
- Organize and participate in weekly cycle counts and bi-annual inventories and reconcile discrepancies.
- Process and follow up on after sales service and manage returns against prior business.
- Maintain records and filing systems for receiving and shipping documentation.
- Order and maintain adequate levels of shipping selling and store supplies.
- Process damages and maintain damaged inventory records.
- Support store management in analyzing business and replenishing stock needs.
Requirements
- 2+ years of operations experience; luxury retail experience preferred.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi task with accuracy.
- Ability to analyze information and problem solve.
- Familiarity with inventory control and asset protection practices.
- Experience using internal systems and external shipping software.
- Ability to follow written and verbal policies and directives.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs without assistance.
