Summary
The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for accurate management of store inventory including receiving shipments, ticketing merchandise, processing returns and aftersales service, and supporting cycle counts and bi-annual inventories in a luxury retail boutique.
Responsibilities
- Receive packages and process incoming merchandise into store inventory on the day it arrives
- Print and ticket merchandise and price updates
- Generate packing shipping transfers and return to vendor shipments accurately
- Process and check in returns against previous day business
- Organize and participate in weekly cycle counts and bi-annual inventories and reconcile discrepancies
- Maintain neat and accurate records and filing systems for receiving and shipping
- Manage inventory for damages and process associated records
- Order and maintain shipping selling and store supplies
- Support store management in inventory analysis and replenishment
Requirements
- 2+ years of operations experience; luxury environment preferred
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to analyze information and problem solve
- Ability to multi task with accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Experience with internal systems and external shipping software
- Ability to follow written and verbal policies and directives
- Attention to asset protection and inventory control
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs without assistance
