Inventory Planner, Furniture

Summary

The Inventory Planner manages assortment and inventory plans to achieve sales, margin, and financial goals for one or more departments. The role develops forecasts and investment strategies, identifies business opportunities and risks, and supports profitable inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Analyze historical data and current trends to identify opportunities and risks across departments, collections, and SKUs.
• Develop sales, inventory, and flow plans, and reconcile top-down and bottom-up financial plans.
• Manage open-to-buy activities, inventory investments, receipt needs, and vendor flow requirements.
• Partner with Merchandising and senior leaders to present plans and strategies that maximize sales and mitigate risk.
• Mentor team members and support onboarding and company initiatives.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience, preferably in inventory management.
• 1-2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical, retail math, inventory planning, problem-solving, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
• Advanced Excel knowledge and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Multi-channel planning experience is a plus.
