Protect company assets and ensure a safe environment for customers and associates by conducting loss prevention, security, and investigative duties in a retail luxury setting. Responsibilities
- Open and close the store following all procedures
- Perform operational and inventory control audits with follow up to ensure compliance
- Support operations and sales teams with inventory counts and shortage programs
- Conduct routine floor walks and inspections to maintain business continuity
- Monitor CCTV systems and observe and dispatch as required
- Conduct internal and external investigations and maintain thorough investigation reports
- Apprehend shoplifters while preserving evidence and documentation
- Respond to emergencies providing first aid and security procedures and complete detailed reporting
- Act as an advocate for health and safety by participating in meetings and training
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of loss prevention or safety and security experience in a retail environment
- Must hold and maintain a valid provincial security license upon hire
- Must hold and maintain valid standard first aid, CPR, and AED certificates upon hire
- Previous investigative and interview training is an asset
- Problem solving and de-escalation skills are an asset
- Ability to maintain clear field notes and daily communication logs
- Ability to maintain thorough, clear, and precise investigation reports
