  • Manage cash and bank functions and reconciliations for the U.S. and Canada.
  • Perform detailed reconciliations across banking, retail, and eCommerce channels, ensuring the completeness and accuracy of financial transactions.
  • Manage eCommerce bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies in financial data flows between Shopify, POS systems, payment processors, and the ERP system.
  • Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve transactional discrepancies, partnering with IT and cross-functional teams to address data transmission or system integration issues.
  • Manage merchant fees, chargebacks, corporate credit card activity, Concur expense reports, and related accounting processes.

Month End Closing

  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations for all entities.
  • Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts related to cash, AR liabilities, and employee expenses.
  • Support month-end journal entries, accruals, and account analyses.
  • Ensure reconciling items, missing transactions, and system-related discrepancies are investigated and appropriately resolved or escalated prior to close

Audits/Projects

  • Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with ERP enhancements, accounting process improvements, and integration-related projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on ad hoc financial, operational, and system initiatives.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a similar field.
  • 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a retail, consumer goods, or eCommerce environment.
  • Strong understanding of accounting transaction flows between POS systems, eCommerce platforms, payment processors, and ERP systems.
  • Experience performing detailed, high-volume account reconciliations with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate root causes and independently resolve discrepancies.
  • Ability to identify data transmission issues, assess financial impact, and effectively partner with IT teams to drive timely resolution.
  • Advanced Excel skills; ERP experience required, Navision experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
