Job Description

Summary

Proactive and detail-oriented Accountant to support daily accounting operations and month-end close activities within the Eyewear division. Role is temp to hire and involves working in a dynamic wholesale and retail environment using SAP and reporting tools. Candidate will collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries for rent, marketing, cost of goods sold, accruals, and other GL accounts
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies timely
  • Manage vendor invoice processing, expense reimbursements, and payment postings
  • Support monthly and quarterly close activities ensuring compliance with GAAP
  • Assist in maintaining accuracy between SAP and reporting tools
  • Partner with FP and A, operations, and brand teams for accurate reporting
  • Participate in internal and external audit requests and documentation
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • 2 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Proficiency in SAP
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and lookups
  • Knowledge of GAAP and month-end close processes
  • Detail oriented and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced setting
  • Curious and fast learner
