Summary
RH Interior Design is seeking a Junior Designer to help develop the Palm Desert design business and support residential projects from concept through installation. This role combines client-facing design work, project management, and cross-functional collaboration within a standalone RH Interior Design gallery. The position requires travel, hands-on fieldwork and proficiency with design and presentation tools.
Responsibilities
- Provide a luxury client experience across all RH Interior Design engagements
- Integrate and implement the RH Design Ethos across residential projects
- Create brand-elevating interior design presentations and communicate design concepts, space plans and product selections
- Guide clients through consultations, site visits, deliveries and installations
- Lead multiple small to medium design projects from concept to completion
- Support firm vision, strategies and financial goals
- Serve as a brand ambassador by hosting events and fostering community relationships
- Maintain high engagement with and knowledge of the local luxury market
Requirements
- 3+ years of interior design experience including architectural design, project management and cross-functional collaboration
- Practical expertise in new construction and renovation timelines, including custom kitchens, bathrooms and millwork
- Applied knowledge of interior construction and installation
- NCIDQ certification and a degree in Interior Design, Architecture or a related field preferred
- Proficiency with Mac, iOS, Microsoft Office and Google applications
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and space planning/rendering programs preferred
- Valid passport for international travel and a valid driver’s license
- Local, domestic and international travel up to 50% and ability to lift and mobilize items up to 25 lbs
