Summary
Lead Paralegal supporting in-house legal team on litigation, employment law, and compliance matters. Responsible for managing litigation lifecycle, coordinating e-discovery, supporting HR investigations and regulatory responses, and leveraging legal technology to streamline workflows. Role requires strong organization, discretion, and the ability to work in a hybrid office environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage full lifecycle of litigation, arbitration, and pre-litigation matters including case file organization and drafting routine pleadings
- Coordinate e-discovery processes including data preservation, custodial interviews, collection workflows, review management, and production
- Serve as point of contact with IT and stakeholders for collection and production of electronically stored information
- Support subpoena responses and regulatory inquiries by preparing materials and tracking deadlines
- Assist HR and legal with investigations by collecting documents and preparing summaries or timelines
- Prepare drafts of policies, templates, separation agreements, and disciplinary documents
- Research and track regulatory developments and update compliance resources
- Manage budgets and invoices and ensure compliance with outside counsel guidelines
- Use legal technology and matter management systems to maintain databases and generate reports
Requirements
- 6 years of paralegal experience minimum with substantial litigation focus
- Bachelor's degree required; paralegal certificate and notary public are a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication and drafting skills
- Experience with e-discovery tools and working with IT on ESI logistics
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively and take ownership of matters
- High attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality
- Strong problem solving skills and ability to quickly learn new systems
