Summary
Lead the development of next-generation design galleries from concept through construction and opening. Partner with internal teams, architects, and consultants to ensure design vision, operational needs, and quality standards are delivered. The role includes approximately 30% travel.
Responsibilities
- Lead ground-up gallery projects through concept design, construction, and opening.
- Direct architects and consultants through planning, permitting, and construction administration.
- Develop architectural standards and details, and coordinate design priorities with merchandising and operations partners.
- Partner with construction teams to resolve on-site design challenges.
- Lead hospitality and retail fixture design, development, sourcing, and review of submittals, shop drawings, and FF&E procurement.
- Conduct site visits and incorporate operational feedback into future designs and special projects.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in large-scale, high-end retail or hospitality design, including floor plans, programming, elevations, and details.
- Experience managing concurrent projects through all phases of design development and opening.
- High proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Bluebeam, Google Workspace, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Ability to translate concept sketches into formal schematic design packages and execute executive-level design direction.
- Strong communication, meeting leadership, time-management, and consultant direction skills.
- College degree in architecture preferred.
