Summary
Senior leader responsible for overseeing warehouse and home delivery operations to deliver operational excellence and a world class customer experience. This role provides strategic oversight for teams and third party carriers, manages P and L accountability, and drives continual improvement across delivery and logistics functions.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, train, mentor and develop direct reports to optimize performance
- Strategically plan and oversee daily workflow and deliverables across warehouse and delivery functions
- Own P and L management including analysis and reporting
- Align home delivery experience with luxury service standards in Galleries
- Manage performance of third party delivery and logistics vendors against cost service and quality metrics
- Drive continual improvement using root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Address and resolve escalated customer service issues promptly
- Conduct site visits and ensure compliance to operational standards
- Maintain computer based reporting and communication using MS Word and Excel
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years leadership experience in furniture home delivery warehouse operations or similar
- Experience leading third party carrier providers
- Proven ability to hire train coach and manage employee performance
- Knowledge of business processes including profit and loss and accounting principles
- Strong written oral communication analytical problem solving and decision making skills
- Ability to visit clients in assigned geographic territory
- Computer literacy with extensive use of MS Word and Excel
- Ability to lift at least 50lbs
- Must pass background MVR and drug screen
