Summary

The Licensed Optician provides expert eyewear consultation and fitting in a luxury retail environment, delivers exceptional service to build and maintain a strong client following, and supports store leadership in maintaining optical quality controls and presentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional sales and client service to meet and exceed standards
• Guide customers in selecting frames and lenses based on lifestyle, prescription, wardrobe and budget
• Take accurate measurements and perform precise adjustments and fittings
• Ensure finished eyewear meets luxury retail standards of accuracy
• Maintain product knowledge and monitor fashion trends to drive sales
• Maintain sales floor and back office presentation and inventory controls
• Train and mentor managers and associates
• Support set up and execution of store events

Requirements

• High school diploma
• State licensure or certification as an optician
• Minimum 2 years sales experience in the luxury service industry
• Knowledge of optical theory and practices
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Polished professional appearance
• Computer skills and attention to detail
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
