Summary

The Licensed Optician provides expert eyewear fitting and optical services in a luxury retail environment, building and maintaining a strong client following. The role delivers exceptional customer experiences, supports store leadership, and ensures finished eyewear meets strict quality standards. The Optician also contributes to sales goals, product knowledge, and store presentation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of sales and customer service to meet and exceed targets.
• Guide customers in selecting frames and lenses based on prescription, lifestyle, and style preferences.
• Take accurate measurements, adjust and fit eyewear, and ensure flawless finished products.
• Maintain presentation standards on the sales floor and in the back office.
• Manage inventory controls and support store events and visual standards.
• Train and mentor managers and associates as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• State licensure or certification as an optician from a recognized organization.
• 2+ years sales experience in the luxury service industry.
• Knowledge of current optical theory and practices and strong technical fitting skills.
• Proven ability to build and maintain a client following with polished appearance and communication skills.
• Computer skills and flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
