Summary
The Logistics Finance Analyst supports budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning for logistics expenses in North America, coordinates month-end close activities, and improves reporting and expense control processes. The role partners with operations and corporate accounting to ensure accurate ledger coding and develops process improvement strategies.
Responsibilities
- Perform monthly accounting close and account reconciliations including accruals and reclassifications.
- Create weekly labor performance reports for Distribution Centers and Contact Center.
- Plan and forecast logistics expenses and key performance metrics.
- Track and report capital expenditures.
- Assist with budgeting, reporting and process improvement initiatives.
- Create and review purchase orders and resolve PO and invoice discrepancies.
- Perform ad hoc analyses and prepare reports and presentations for finance partners.
- Support large volume data management and reporting tasks.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to influence outcomes and achieve objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Finance or Accounting preferred or equivalent experience.
- Advanced PC skills including Excel Word PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Experience with large volume data management and reporting.
- Familiarity with retail distribution operations and terminology preferred.
- Experience with Hyperion Essbase SAP Adaptive Insights or BI tools preferred.
- Strong organizational analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
- Self motivated with problem solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
