Summary
Responsible for receiving, unpacking and delivering merchandise to selling departments, fulfilling and shipping customer orders, and supporting store operations to ensure outstanding customer experiences. Works independently in a fast paced retail environment and uses inventory systems to process shipments and maintain organized stockrooms and selling floors.
Responsibilities
- Receive and unload freight and unpack merchandise
- Deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments
- Fulfill customer orders following quality standards
- Prepare and ship customer orders with proper packing and shipping procedures
- Utilize inventory management systems to scan and process shipments
- Research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes
- Maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms
- Provide general store support including event setup, markdowns, and relocating fixtures
Requirements
- High level of ownership, accountability and initiative
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to use various technologies and computer applications
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on business needs
- Ability to continuously move for 6-8 hours per shift with frequent bending and reaching
- Frequent use of hands for grasping and manipulation
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 50 pounds
