Loss Prevention Investigator

As a Loss Prevention Investigator, you will play a crucial role in protecting company assets from fraud and internal/external loss. You will be responsible for identifying dishonest individuals, monitoring security systems, and ensuring compliance with company policies.

• Routinely walk the floor to observe and identify dishonest persons both externally and internally.
• Monitor CCTV systems and dispatch as necessary.
• Apprehend shoplifters and maintain records of apprehensions.
• Testify at criminal proceedings as appropriate.
• Conduct periodic P.O.S. audits and internal investigations with confidentiality.
• Analyze and follow up on transactional reporting to minimize company loss.
• Support Operations and Sales teams with inventory counts and shortage programs.
• Respond to emergencies in a timely manner and ensure appropriate follow-up reporting.
• Ensure compliance with privacy policies, regulations, and cyber security measures.

• College Degree.
• 2-3 years of experience in a similar capacity.
• Kinesic interview techniques or other interviewing/interrogation training.
• Previous experience in a retail environment.
• Standard first aid, CPR OPA Level II certification.
• Maintain provincial guard license.
• Fully bilingual in French and English.
