Loss Prevention Investigator

Summary

The Loss Prevention Investigator works on-site to prevent and investigate external and internal theft and fraud, supporting store safety and protecting assets. Reporting to the Assistant Loss Prevention Manager, this role conducts surveillance, documents incidents, and supports store operations to minimize loss and maximize sales.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general safety of customers, employees, and the store
• Assess and assist in emergency situations
• Perform monitoring and surveillance to identify theft and fraud indicators
• Conduct external and internal investigations and document incidents
• Prepare reports on theft incidents merchandise recoveries and accident investigations
• Reduce and control inventory loss through audits and training
• Support and participate in store operations programs

Requirements

• Experience in loss prevention or asset protection
• Customer focused mindset
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer software proficiency
• Investigative and conflict management skills
• Ability to respond to changes in direction or unexpected situations
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on store needs
