SummaryAs a Maintenance Manager based in our Toronto office, you will oversee the optimal functioning of the company's equipment, material, and infrastructure in the Toronto Hub. You will lead the Maintenance team, manage preventive and curative maintenance operations, and ensure equipment performance and efficiency.
Responsibilities- Master automated equipment, facility equipment, industrial processes, and technologies required for production.
- Develop and lead preventative maintenance programs for all production and facility equipment.
- Manage equipment spare parts program, including inventory, budget creation, and cost management.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained to the highest standard and operating efficiently.
- Monitor equipment to identify machinery components nearing failure and schedule repairs.
- Develop a team of trained technicians to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions.
- Manage, supervise, and motivate staff, promoting professional development.
- Ensure quality of work of support teams, including internal and external contractors.
- Comply with all safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Master CMMS and INTERAL programs for maintenance management.
- Develop and manage maintenance budget and plan investments.
- Assist purchasing department in negotiating with suppliers.
- Manage equipment and spare parts fleet.
- Identify technical solutions to improve equipment and facilities.
- Validate specifications and maintenance subcontracting contracts.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in mechatronics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with complex, automated machinery in a production environment.
- Proven managerial, organizational, and anticipatory skills.
- Knowledge and experience with Lean Six Sigma.
- Experience with Vendor Relationship Management.
- Good negotiation and conflict management skills.
- Experience with installation, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, PLC, and PC-based control systems.
- Predictive maintenance knowledge based on MTBF, MTTR, OEE, TPM, etc.
- Ability to flex leadership and communication style for various stakeholders.
- Mastery of usual computer tools.
