Summary
The Maintenance Mechanic performs maintenance and repairs on mechanical electrical plumbing HVAC and life safety equipment using the Building Management System and various power tools and testing equipment. The role reviews design and construction drawings oversees MEP installations maintains safe operating procedures and supports facility operations. The position works Monday through Friday 12:00pm-8:30pm and requires availability for overtime weekend work and 24/7 emergency response.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical mechanical HVAC plumbing and general office fixtures.
- Respond to work orders and engineering requests using the building work ticket system.
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections maintain daily building checklists and climate control data sheets.
- Test and inspect emergency and life safety systems to meet FM NFPA OSHA and agency standards.
- Maintain inventory order stock and organize facility parts equipment bulbs and ballasts.
- Interact with vendors oversee scopes of work and document trash weighing operations.
- Maintain a functioning workshop work with tools and testing equipment and perform minor repairs and adjustments.
- Review design drawings support new construction projects and oversee MEP installations.
Requirements
- High school diploma with technical vocational training in HVAC mechanical electrical or material handling equipment.
- Minimum three years experience in a related field.
- Computer proficiency in Excel Word and Outlook.
- Training and certification for recovering refrigerant.
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally with employees at all levels.
- Self motivated and customer service oriented with flexibility in work schedule.
- Willingness to work overtime weekends and respond to building emergencies 24/7.
- Preferred knowledge of Archibus and LEED training or certification.
