Job Description

Summary

As a Maintenance Mechanic in Cumberland, RI, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of chain making equipment. You will be responsible for installing, setting up, and maintaining various machinery to support production schedules and ensure on-time delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Consistently follow safe work procedures and report all incidents and safety issues promptly.
  • Install and set up tooling for Sisma chain making machines and other related equipment.
  • Operate chain, linking, tag, and related production equipment efficiently to meet production schedules.
  • Coordinate with the tool-room for repair and replacement of production tooling.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance on all chain manufacturing equipment to ensure readiness.
  • Participate in new product development and propose continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Engage in 5S activities to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Build partnerships across departments to enhance efficiency and support.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in chain making mechanics.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Fluency in English and good communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to read and follow safety and manufacturing procedures and blueprints.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work constructively with others.
