Maintenance Tech 1 - Westfarms

Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Technician I helps maintain a safe, well-kept environment across multiple stores and Nordstrom Rack locations. Under close supervision, this role performs preventive maintenance and assists with monitoring building systems and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned preventive maintenance, inspections, building rounds, and maintenance records.
• Assist with troubleshooting and basic repairs to plumbing, HVAC, lighting, roofs, drains, equipment, and other building systems.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, escalating issues when needed.
• Follow safety procedures and applicable building codes, and perform manual labor including moving materials.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and at least one year of related experience or training.
• Basic knowledge of trade skills and mechanical systems, with entry-level proficiency using power tools.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, communicate effectively, and use a computer and basic Microsoft Office programs.
• Flexible availability for days, evenings, weekends, and off-hours; ability to lift 50 pounds or more and perform physical tasks such as climbing and walking.
