Summary
Lead and perform maintenance activities to ensure a safe and well maintained store environment across multiple locations within a business node. Support the Facility Manager by executing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting building systems, coordinating vendors, and mentoring technicians to maintain operational readiness.
Responsibilities
- Lead and perform on demand and scheduled preventive maintenance on critical and non critical equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues and operate building controls and EMCS.
- Conduct equipment and building rounds, identify and report malfunctions, and respond to emergencies.
- Perform manual labor tasks including lifting and moving materials and working at heights.
- Support administrative tasks such as parts ordering, PO creation, CMMS updates, and vendor coordination.
- Assist with training and mentoring technicians and delegating workorders.
- Promote and adhere to safety procedures including LOTO and PPE.
- Communicate with store leadership and attend meetings to represent facilities.
- Maintain parts inventory and accurate equipment historical records in CMMS.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED; vocational or associate degree preferred.
- 5 years of hands on facilities experience with emphasis in mechanical maintenance.
- 5+ years conducting predictive and preventive maintenance and experience with HVAC and refrigeration.
- Skilled in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, mechanical repairs and low voltage troubleshooting.
- Experience with CMMS and ordering systems and intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to work without supervision, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- Knowledge of computer networking systems and electromechanical operation and maintenance.
- Ability to maintain a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and off hours.
- Capable of physical tasks including lifting 50 lbs or more and climbing ladders.
