Maintenance Technician 2 - St John's Town Center

The Maintenance Technician II at St John's Town Center will lead a team to ensure a safe and well-maintained store environment for Nordstrom customers and employees. This role supports the Facility Manager in preparing stores for daily business operations and involves maintaining various building systems and responding to maintenance requests.

• Lead and perform preventive maintenance on critical and non-critical equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to store operations.
• Operate and monitor building controls and systems.
• Perform manual labor tasks such as loading and moving materials.
• Promote a safe working environment by following safety procedures.
• Act as a liaison in store and vendor meetings.
• Complete and document preventative maintenance routines.
• Assist with technical training of new employees.
• Respond to location emergencies.
• Maintain parts inventory and order items as necessary.
• Coordinate work with outside contractors and vendors.

• High School Diploma/GED; Associates or higher degree preferred.
• 5-7 years of hands-on facilities experience with mechanical maintenance.
• Experience with HVAC, refrigeration, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repairs.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic input and output functions.
• Strong communication skills and self-motivation.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
• Experience with CMMS and ordering systems.
• Knowledge of computer networking systems.
• Project Management experience is a plus.
• Ability to maintain a flexible schedule.
• Physical ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
