Summary
The Maintenance Technician II leads and mentors a facilities team to maintain a safe, operational store environment across multiple locations. This role supports the Facility Manager in daily readiness, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, vendor coordination, and administrative tasks to ensure building systems operate effectively.
Responsibilities
- Lead and perform on-demand and scheduled preventive maintenance on critical and non-critical equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems for store operations
- Operate and monitor building controls and EMCS, troubleshooting alarms and verifying proper operation
- Conduct equipment and building rounds, readings, and report malfunctions
- Perform manual labor tasks including lifting and moving materials
- Assist with parts ordering, PO creation, vendor management, and administrative duties
- Mentor and train technicians and support FM in technical training
- Update CMMS and maintain accurate equipment records and parts inventory
- Coordinate work with outside contractors, vendors, and property managers
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; vocational or associate degree preferred
- 5-7 years hands-on facilities experience with mechanical maintenance
- 5+ years performing predictive and preventive maintenance
- 5+ years experience with HVAC, refrigeration, carpentry, plumbing, electrical and mechanical repairs
- Able to troubleshoot low voltage and logical device I/O functions
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and experience with CMMS and ordering systems
- Knowledge of computer networking systems and electromechanical maintenance
- Project management experience is a plus and ability to work flexible schedule including nights and weekends
- Capable of physical tasks including lifting 50 lbs and working at heights
