Summary
The Maintenance Technician II leads and mentors a facilities team to maintain a safe store environment and ensure building systems are operational for daily business across multiple stores. This role supports the Facility Manager with troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, vendor coordination, parts ordering, and emergency response.
Responsibilities
- Lead and perform on demand and scheduled preventive maintenance on critical and noncritical equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems and EMCS alarms
- Operate and monitor building controls and associated equipment
- Conduct equipment and building rounds and document findings
- Perform manual labor tasks including lifting and moving materials
- Assist with parts ordering, PO creation, and vendor management
- Mentor and train other technicians on systems and procedures
- Update CMMS with maintenance procedures and equipment history
- Coordinate with outside contractors and property managers
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED; vocational or associate degree preferred
- 5 years minimum hands-on facilities experience with mechanical maintenance
- 5+ years conducting predictive and preventive maintenance
- Experience with HVAC, refrigeration, carpentry, plumbing, electrical and mechanical repairs
- Ability to troubleshoot low voltage signals and logical devices
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and CMMS; experience with Coupa preferred
- Knowledge of computer networking systems and electromechanical maintenance
- Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings weekends and off-hours
- Capable of physical tasks including climbing and lifting 50 lbs or more
